Message : it was on my way to a weekend vacation w/ friends who were driving in another car -- but i bought my car the night before (friday night) so DMV was closed so i couldnt get my titling and registration done -- so when i got pulled over i showed him all the paper work (still have my previous cars tag on there which was a 240SX) and i also had my trusty FRATERNAL ORDER OF POLICE license frame on my car so he cut me a huge break -- only gave me the speeding ticket rather than having my car impounded, and writing me up for about $600 in fines for no tag, title, reg, etc.

: The problem was he made me get it towed to the gas station only 3 blocks away and told me to leave it there till i got the paperwork done -- now being out of my city on a weekend i wasnt about to leave my brand new Z in a gas station -- so we cut the trip early and i picked my Z up that nite at 11pm and we drove back 3 hrs home -- but then of course it got worse -- my damn headlight blew so i was terrified the entire time that i would get pulled over for that.

: Luckily i didnt, but damn was that an unpleasant 2nd day of ownership!

Yours was so screwed up :-(
No way one would leave his/her nice ride out at a stranger place espeically over nite! About 2 months later after ownership, my slave clutch went out on me at 11pm after driving 1 mile out of my apartment to return video rentles (3 miles) b4 mid nite. I managed to pull into a parking lot of a small shopping plaza. The clutch fluid was all gone and I couldn't engage nor shift to make it back home. There was a autozone across the street of my apt, but they opened till 9pm only, arrrrh....

So, I walked to return the tapes, and walked back home to take shower, then bring all necessary gear with me back to my Z and CAMPED in my Z. No way I was leaving it out there by itself without any alarm or security insurance, and especially "Gone In 60 Seconds" was released not long ago.

Sleeping in the Z in SUMMER NITE was the most PITA thing I have ever experieced with my Z :-( It was tough to fall asleep, and I woke up like every 30 minutes. I stayed till dawn and walked back home to sleep....
